Chantilly, VA-Two heavy weight AAU teams from the Mid Atlantic Hoops area fought it out in the final of the Second Annual Nike Baltimore Elite Invitational. The New Jersey Playaz club defeated Team Final (PA), 77 to 60 to win the tournament.

New Jersey Playaz’s were led by Vaughn Gray, a 6-foot-5 wing forward (from Don Bosco Prep in Elmwood, NJ) with 20 points. Gray used his outside shooting to start the game & gave the Playaz an early 10 points lead that they held for the remainder of the game.  Our Mid Atlantic Hoops Spring rankings of Class of 2011 #1 prospect and Nation’s #1 player in the 2011 class Michael Gilchrist, a 6-foot-8 guard/forward (St. Patrick HS, Elizabeth, NJ) lead all scorers with 22 points & did everything he could to keep Team Final in the game but the playaz were too much, as Kyle Anderson & Miles Davis chipped in with 15 & 18 respectively.
