Daquein McNeil, a talented point guard frosh from Baltimore (MD), had a very good showing in the state this past weekend and at EYBL (Boo Williams Complex) during the weekend of April 9-11. Here are my thoughts on this young prospect..........Story - Talk About It

Daquein McNeil, a freshmen 6-foot-3 point guard from Carver Vocational Tech in Baltimore (MD), is a very promising young prospect and is considered by Mid Atlantic Hoops.Com as a top 10 prospects in the class of 2013. McNeil has a strong body already (175pounds) as freshman, with a great frame, and above average athleticism. Daquein is a good shooter out to about the 3pt range, but is a very good finisher around the basket. He still has a ways to go in terms of his development, but he has considerable upside. His best attribute right now, is the ability to make others around him better but at the same time excel on his own.

"Xavier, Oklahoma, Maryland, Richmond, Washington, Georgetown, and Arizona," are just a preliminary list of some of his current school interests

McNeil is playing with the Nike Baltimore Elite 15U AAU traveling team which recently won the Maryland State AAU Championships.

McNeil currently has a 3.0 GPA.

Quinn Cook

By Quinn Cook
Hey this is Quinn Cook and this is another one of my Mid Atlantic Hoops Player Diaries. This is a special edition one though. As you may or may not know I was invited to play with the first ever U16 USA National team. Me and fellow DMV representative Justin Anderson were invited to Colorado Springs, Colorado to try out for the team. While I was there I kept track of everything that we did...Diary- Talk About It
